this book was a pleasure to work on last year and i’m honored to use my art for something bigger. i love this book not just because of the art itself but the message. activism resilience • abundance • growth

i love to try different mediums, avenues or just different ways of thinking and using my art. very proud of my block print patch for my patrons this month. i’m in love. i’m inspired by my own work. i know it’s re πŸ•°οΈlate af, august

a love letter to your crown and mine:
Oh those curls
How they twist and turn
How they stretch and yearn
Be proud of those curls
Those kinks, the coils
From roots to soils
They grow so effortlessly, reaching for the sun
Feeling Weightless, compa fred hampton said we don’t need no culture except revolutionary culture. what we mean by that is culture that will free you.

sorry y’all | NOT FOR SALE | client work
but working on more prints like these in the future for my own shop w zora neale hurston said no, i do not weep at the world— i am too busy sharpening my oyster knife.

zora inspiring me this month as i hit one year in patreon. that space has helped me open up, share what i thought would be unsharable and embarr senses - this place, this planet can be so overwhelming by our own doing and it’s important to breathe. whatever you’re going through, you’ll get through it. everything ebbs and flows and then the glow returns

WE ARE ON STOLEN LAND. LAND BACK NOW. A Better Future Is Possible.

Land Acknowledgement
We are on land that was stolen from those indigenous to Mishigami (great water) ; originally home to people of the Three Fires - the Odawa, Ojibwa, and Potawatomi. I would like to pay respects to the nineteen Odawa chiefs who once governed the lands along the Grand River, in and around what is now the city of Grand Rapids.
